TESTIMONIALS

UMA is like a virtual hug. Offering comfort and the opportunity to ground and give focused attention to the miracle that is creating life. Patti shares her wisdom and fills expectant mothers with the confidence they need to give birth in a 21st century world. I felt held and supported during my journey and I feel grateful for the knowledge I gained along the way.

I joined Patti’s Uma prenatal yoga and connection class at the recommendation of a friend and found it to be to be just what I needed in terms of a space where we could relate and share similar concerns, learn from Patti and her deep well of wisdom and energy and move our bodies. Now being in her app group with all her other clients and moms has been invaluable for the communal knowledge and support. I would love to get to know these women more and soak in more of Patti’s good vibes in person!

I took Patti’s prenatal yoga every single week during the second half of my first pregnancy in 2020 when we were in COVID lockdown. I credit her classes to being so physically and mentally strong, centered and prepared for a wonderful unmedicated birth in August 2020 despite the unusual and unexpected circumstances. Patti’s classes were truly a highlight of my pregnancy. Thank you for all you do!

If I learned anything from my time with Patti it is that all the power, peace, and wisdom I could ever need is already inside me, and that this is true in pregnancy, motherhood, and life. However, I really do not know how I would have made it through pregnancy and birth without Patti. She held my hand through the physical and emotional transformations of pregnancy in her In Bloom sessions. She literally held me up as my doula during a very long intense home birth in April 2020. She held my heart through the labyrinth of the early postpartum days. Patti is graceful, compassionate, strong, and wise. I am beyond grateful to have worked with her during my pregnancy. Now, over two years later, I still remember her gentle wisdom and energy when in difficult moments. Thank you Patti, I love you forever!!!

Hi Patti! Just wanted to say thank you for sharing all your words of wisdom and for all the prenatal classes you shared these past couple of weeks. The classes were my safe haven, my place of grounding and hope - during my last trimester and in the middle of this global pandemic. I had my son this past Saturday. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your light and love with the world! Thank you for holding such a sacred space for mamas and for being an advocate and powerful facilitator our our growth.

First thing everyone should know: It’s been studied that women who receive proper prenatal care are more likely to have a healthy and safe birth. That said... I thought I knew what a doula was until Patti became my doula. Either I had no clue, or she just completely raised the bar on what it means to be a doula. I received knowledge from her, weekly yoga, a support group of other expecting mamas, massages, delicious cooking, and her sweet, nurturing heart that just hugged my entire being and made me feel safe to cry. It became *essential* to have her by my side during labor. Her daughter was also an amazing presence to have around! She was amazing with Henry (pretty sure he had a crush on her), and she was such an angelic witness in the background as I pushed Asa out into our world. So thank you, you beautiful goddesses! I miss you already and can’t wait to see you again! Jai Ma P.S. I delivered my baby boy, Brooks, last Wednesday and have to send a sincere thank you for all the wisdom and training you gave me to prepare for labor, delivery and recovery. I took your online classes almost every day during pregnancy and made it to about 10 Saturday zoom classes. I had all of your breathing and movement techniques in my head during labor. I also credit my relatively easy recovery to my body being prepared and ready. I am so grateful to you! Thanks for keeping your teaching and community strong during this challenging time.

Hi Patti! I birthed a healthy little boy on Friday and I wanted to thank you for all your guidance throughout my pregnancy. The doctors and nurses all commented on my breathing and pushing skills. When they asked I told them about your class and that I’d been taking it since I was 8 weeks. I can’t believe how time has flown. You - and the community you created through your classes - really helped me enjoy and be present in my pregnancy. I’ll miss being pregnant - the anticipation, the holding my little guy inside me, the feeling that my body had so much purpose. But my heart has never felt so full and I am cherishing each moment with my son. Thank you again so much for all the light your shared with me!

Upon discovering I was pregnant I had a bit of fear about having to get the baby out of me. Naturally or surgically seemed like something I could not handle. After having the pleasure of practicing prenatal yoga with Patti in LA, and religiously in her online classes, I truly began to embrace the beauty and power of my body and during this pregnancy. I actually have never felt so beautiful and strong than I did during my second and third trimester. When I went into labor, Patti's breath, sound, and posture work were the things that carried me through each contraction. In a matter of three hours I was able to deliver my baby naturally without a complication, without a drug, and without a stitch. Pregnancy and birth are two of the most painful and miraculous things a woman will ever go through. Furthermore, I now sit here with a baby sealed to my breast, and I realize the greatest gift to a woman is becoming a mama.

Ollie arrived on Monday! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. So grateful for your classes and meditations leading up to the labor and birth. Had an incredible no intervention birth at the birth center here in San Francisco. Silver linings of covid 19.

Patti, I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to you. I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been doing your prenatal videos since the pandemic began. Throughout the ups and downs of the last three months, your videos have given me a sense of calm and made my sore pregnant body feel good and put my mind at ease when few other things were working. I am not one to send this sort of note, but you have been such an important (virtual) presence in my life during such a crazy time that I felt compelled to reach out. I have never been into yoga before, but doing your prenatal videos have helped me more than I can say.

Working with Patti was the most important decision we made in our pregnancy! Over the last decade, my partner and I had countless friends rave about Patti’s work as a doula and birth coach, so we knew instantly we wanted to work with her once we became pregnant. I took her prenatal yoga series and my husband and I took her journey to birth courses. Both are a must. She was a beacon of positivity, and our birth process and fourth trimester was beautiful and dare I say EASY! We feel confident and at ease in this next phase of life because of her support and guidance. I will be returning to work with her when I get pregnant again. Grateful for you, Patti! Love you!

I have been practicing yoga for several years now, and even though I have been a very consistent practitioner I am still an intermediate yogi. When I got pregnant with my first child, I continued with my regular practice and also took Patti’s pre-natal class until the very end. Patti’s class delivers a strong and well thought out practice and also a great supportive nurturing environment to travel through the pregnancy months. She teaches how to adjust yoga to the pregnant belly and really focuses on the key areas that will be beneficial at the time of delivery. In the end, this practice not only strengthened my body but also soothed my mind and taught me how to focus and listen to my body. All of these were critical to prepare me for a smooth natural delivery, which I definitely had thanks to yoga.

Patti is such a special teacher. I valued and cherished each of class together. A first time mother at 45 yrs old, Patti helped me feel more at ease in stepping into the most incredible and life changing role of my life. Her yoga classes brought me softly and deeply into my ever changing body. So grateful.

Uma has been my touchstone since the birth of my first daughter… a constant throughout my journey as a mother where I’ve found community, guidance and a source of filling my cup while connecting with my babies.
